I'm using the official WireGuard iOS app. VOIP (FaceTime, WhatsApp, etc) is blocked here, so it can't be used without a VPN like WireGuard. The WiFi setup is: Huawei HG8244T router which just does the WAN & DHCP & Routing stuff. There are no NAT-related options on the router, but you can configure Port Forwarding and Port Triggering.
For facetime to run smoothly port forwarding must be enabled for ports 443 (TCP), 3478–3497 (UDP), 16384–16386 (UDP), and 16393–16402 (UDP) this is the firewalls job and I have no issues using facetime at all.
